1. Basic Construction

3-layer quilted structure

1. Outer layer: Polyester fabric / recycled fabric, non-woven fabric

2. Middle filling: Recycled polyester wadding, bonded polyester batting (shock-absorbing filler)

3. Stitching: Zigzag quilting. Edges fully bound and reinforced to prevent shifting and delamination of inner wadding.

2. Main Material Options

Economy Grade – Non-woven Version (Highest sales volume)

Shell: Polyester non-woven fabric; Filling: Recycled synthetic wadding 

√Pros: Low cost, lightweight. Ideal for one-off protection during container loading for export shipments. 

× Cons: Poor abrasion resistance; prone to tearing under repeated tension; non-washable. 

→ Applications: Anti-scratch protection, padding and separation for furniture and large cargo inside shipping containers.

Heavy-duty Woven Version (Reusable)

Shell: Woven recycled cotton fabric, polyester-cotton blend 

√Pros: Wear-resistant, high tear strength, suitable for repeated moving and circulation use. 

×Cons: Higher unit price and heavier weight.

Note: A small number of low-end options are made of thick needle-punched polyester felt without quilting. Some factories also refer to them as moving blankets verbally, but strictly speaking, they are felt pads.

3. Production Process

Raw material preparation → Opening & laying of wadding → Lamination of top & bottom fabrics → Zigzag quilting → Cutting → Edge binding → Inspection & packing Customization available: Printing, customer logo imprint, custom colors. Common colors: black, grey, navy, blue.

4. Standard Export Specifications

Standard overseas size: 183×203cm (72×80 inch)

Weight: 700–1300g per piece. Mainstream export weight: 1000–1200g/pc

Optional sizes: 150×200cm, 160×220cm, etc. Custom sizes supported.

Colors: Mainly black, dark grey, blue; green and red can be custom-made.

1. Container loading for export: Wrap sofas, cabinets and large goods to avoid collision and surface scratching.

6. Comparison with Needle Punched Felt (often confused)

Moving Blanket: Quilted sandwich structure with fluffy middle wadding. Excellent cushioning, thick and soft, better impact resistance, higher price.

Polyester Felt: Fully needle-punched compact material, no sandwich layer. Firm and rigid, good wear resistance, weaker cushioning, lower price.
